Fun on Labor Day

We've had a fun Labor Day, enjoying some time with Jaron (who took a 2-hour nap after being on call all night and then spent the afternoon with us).  We took our bikes to a nearby trail and rode for a while.  The biggest news of the day is that Mikey learned to ride WITHOUT TRAINING WHEELS!  These kiddos really can do it, if given the encouragement and patient teaching (thanks to their Daddy).  Jaron's given Mikey a few lessons before today, but today he really got it, and toward the end of our ride together he had gained enough confidence that he told Jaron, "No Daddy, I can do it by myself now!"  (The pictures aren't the best, but let me assure you that Mikey looked like a stud pumping away on his Huffy special all by himself!)

I honestly can not believe he can ride a bike without training wheels. That is incredible!!! He just barely turned three. Wow! Tell him Aunt Jaimie says, Good Job!!!

It's so fun to see the new posts and hear about the fun things you have discovered in your new city. I am so happy for you. The thing on friday at the mall with all the free stuff sounds awesome.

He's only 3 and he's riding a bike with no training wheels?! You have a genius on your hand (or maybe the next Lance Armstrong)!

Emily, I CAN NOT believe that he's doing it! Talk about a lot of patience and persistence on Jaron's part! We wish we could see it in person! Cute "widdow" Mikey!

Wow! No training wheels already...that is great! Way to have confidence in him. I guess the parents have to wipe their own fear, so the kids can move forward. That is great! Iowa looks amazing! Great place to be!

Hmmm...not sure who I'm more proud of- Mikey for learning so quickly, Jaron for being so patient, or YOU for being so brave to watch your little boy speed away!

(when I showed John the post he said, "No way. Wow!" I fear that Tyler's training wheels will be coming off any day now- thanks).

I'm also totally proud of you for taking the boys ice skating. That's brave for a woman in any condition, but throw on the expanding belly and you've got yourself a serious balance issue! Bet the boys loved it though.

Speaking of which- not sure we ever heard if Sullivan baby #3 is a boy or girl. So...what's the verdict?!?
